Types of valves in terms of operator
Manual valves

Manual valves are valves whose required torque is below 500 NM and is powered by the operator by hand to open and close it. The operator of these valves is in the form of a lever (propeller valve), flap (sliding valve) and handle (gas valve), and in sizes above 8 inches, most of the valves are operated with a helical or screw gearbox leading to the flap, which is operated by the operator. It can be opened and closed.

Automatic valves (Actuators)

All valves that open and close automatically without the need for a manual operator or by automatic PLC command or remote control are called automatic valves. Automatic mechanical valves (one-way valves, safety valves, etc.), valves with pneumatic actuators, valves with electric actuators, valves with hydraulic actuators, and solenoid valves with electric spools are types of automatic valves.

The pneumatic valve consists of a valve with a pneumatic actuator. Due to the use of air pressure, this valve opens and closes faster than other automatic valves. Among the models of pneumatic valves, we can refer to pneumatic ball valve, pneumatic butterfly valve and pneumatic globe valve. In some pneumatic valves, a positioner with a pneumatic actuator can be used and with 4 to 20 milliamperes, the flow of fluid can be controlled and the valve can be gradually disconnected and connected.

A valve with a hydraulic actuator consists of valve components and a hydraulic actuator that works with oil fluid. A hydraulic valve is used for mines or tunnels where there is a possibility of gas accumulation due to the prevention of sparks and ignition.

Electric solenoid valve (Solenoid Valve)
